Let the user configure if fallback is applied

description

If a package cannot be found at the specified feed, Sidewinder tries to find it at the official feed (Log message: "Attempting to find it on the official feed..."). This fallback mechanism may or may not be desirable, because it involves costly internet access.

Please add an option to let the user configure whether this fallback is applied.

Hi,

Agreed - it should be configurable rather than default behaviour.

I'll add a command line switch to sidewinder.exe and also add a method to the fluent app update check to skip looking for the package on the official feed.

I'll update with progress here....

Cheers,

James

Ok, v1.5.1 just released to NuGet and source repo updated

sidewinder.exe switch is /skipofficialfeed and UpdateConfigBuild fluent method is ".SkipOfficialFeed()"

Hope this is what you were looking for!
